4Tech-IoT terms of use
Last updated 25 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and 4Tech, of Amman, Jordan, about the 4Tech-IoT app and the service behind it. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
The service
4Tech-IoT lets you set up, monitor and control 4Tech devices, share them with the people you live with, and receive their alerts. Most features need an internet connection; some devices can also be controlled over Bluetooth when the internet is down.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use 4Tech-IoT, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you. Use an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your sign-in details to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
Using the app fairly
Only add devices you own or have permission to control. Do not try to reach devices, sites or accounts that are not yours; overload, disrupt or probe our server; get around its security; or copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows you to. We may suspend or close an account that does any of these.
Sharing a site
Anyone you invite to a site can see and control its devices, and can see its readings, its alerts and the email addresses of its members. Only invite people you trust, and remove them when they should no longer have access.
Your devices and updates
Install and use your devices as their instructions say. We may offer firmware updates for them through the app; keep a device powered and connected while it updates.
Not a safety system
4Tech-IoT is a convenience tool. Alerts depend on your devices, your internet connection, your phone and services outside our control, so an alert can arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on the app as your only protection against fire, flooding, break-ins or any other emergency.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
Who owns what
The app, its design and its software belong to 4Tech and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on phones you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. Your data stays yours: you give us only the permission we need to store and process it to run the service, as the privacy policy describes.
Our responsibility
We provide the app and the service as they are and as available. As far as the law allows, 4Tech gives no warranties beyond those in these terms, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including damage to property or lost data — that comes from using the app or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and 4Tech, not Apple or Google. 4Tech alone is responsible for the app, its content, its maintenance and support, and for dealing with any claim about it — including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone else's intellectual property. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
If you got the app from the App Store, you may use it only on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it, if any; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you are not in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow the terms of any third party you rely on to use the app, such as your mobile carrier.
Your data
What we collect, how long we keep it and who sees it is set out in the privacy policy.
Read the privacy policyEnding your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from inside the app; deleting it removes your data as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever stop the service, we will tell you in advance where we can.
How to delete your accountGoverning law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman will hear any dispute about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to court there.
