Delete your 4Tech-IoT account

You can delete your 4Tech-IoT account, and everything in it, from inside the app. This page explains what happens and how to ask us to do it for you if you can no longer open the app.

Delete it from the app

1. Open 4Tech-IoT and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
3. Read the warning and tap Delete. Then confirm it is you: enter your password, or sign in again with Google or Apple if that is how you sign in.

The account is erased straight away. There is no undo.

What gets deleted

• Your account: your email address, your password, and any Google or Apple sign-in linked to it. For Apple, we also end the app's access to your Apple ID.
• Every device you added, and the credentials that let it reach our server. Those devices stop working until someone sets them up again.
• Device readings and history, command logs, alerts and the alert rules you created.
• Any site you are the only person in, with its rooms and unused invite codes.
• The notification tokens for the phones you signed in on.

Sites you share with other people

A site with other members is not deleted — it passes to whoever joined it first, so nobody else loses their home. Devices you added are still removed, because they belong to your account.

Ask us to delete it

If you cannot open the app, email us from the address you signed up with and ask for your 4Tech-IoT account to be deleted. We reply to confirm before we delete anything, and we only act on a request sent from the account's own email address.
